Job Description

The Competency-Driven Growth Office (CDGO) drives the Public Service's shift towards Competency-Driven Growth (CDG) a framework that anchors workforce development, career growth, and people decisions on competencies (skills, knowledge, and behaviours). CDGO works closely with PSD Clusters and HR Leaders (HRLs) in agencies to drive the key CDG priorities for 2026. As a CDGO Management Intern, you will be part of a small, hands-on team working at the intersection of policy design, operations and data.

What You Will Do

As an intern, you will support CDGO's work across strategy, implementation, and engagement. Some of the key workstreams you will assist with include:

1. Implementation & Engagements

Support engagement with Statutory Boards, including preparing discussion materials and documenting key insights

Assist with tracking CDG implementation progress, preparing updates for internal stakeholders, supporting the coordination across PSD internal Clusters

2. Data Analysis

Support the implementation of the CDG scorecard, assessing for data availability, robustness and gaps of the indicators

Assist in data analysis where relevant, such as synthesising feedback from agency engagements and analysis of the CDG Pulse results

3. CDG Content & Resource Development

Support the development and refinement of CDG materials for HR leaders, supervisors, and officers

4. Logistics and Event Planning and Management

Support the planning and execution of Partnerships Conversations, an annual platform for PSD to engage leaders and HR leaders of agencies.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys making sense of complexity. A suitable candidate possesses the following:

Strong communicator who writes and thinks clearly

Strong analytical and synthesis skills, to be able to distil key messages and prioritise the things to be done

Proactive, hungry for growth, and able to work in ambiguity

Comfortable working with slides, documents, and basic data
