Responsibilities:
- Exposure to Diverse Asset Classes from a Buy-side Perspective: Gain valuable insights into various asset classes and markets including funds, private equity, structured products and secondary market instruments.
- Wealth Management Support: Support our relationship managers in conducting research and analysis to assist in developing comprehensive wealth management strategies for client families. Assisting in account and portfolio management related operations.
- Client Services and Confidentiality: Assist in addressing client inquiries, preparing reports, and maintaining client records with the utmost confidentiality.
- Involvement in Special Projects: Work on projects and initiatives across different departments within the family office, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of the business. Including:
- Conducting industry research, commercial diligence and financial analysis. Screening products and recommending potentially suitable products to the stakeholders.
- Drafting, optimizing and preparing corporate decks for stakeholder presentations.
- Collaborating with compliance team on investment structure, contract and agreements negotiation.
- Performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Lead the FOAHK Case Competition: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the upcoming Family Office Association Hong Kong (FOAHK) Case Competition.
Requirements
- Education Background: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in financial relevant majors in any discipline, with a passion for wealth management, finance, and especially Private Client Service. Relevant internship experience in related fields will be an advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese are required, as the role involves communicating with English and Chinese-speaking clients, reviewing bilingual documents, and coordinating with stakeholders across different regions.
- A proactive and eager learner, willing to take on challenges and grow within the family office industry.
- Solid knowledge of financial products and financial markets, or related areas preferred.
- Detail-oriented and ability to manage competing priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, familiarity with Financial Database or one coding language is a plus.
- Work Arrangement: Final-year university students who can commit to at least 3 full working days per week are welcome to start in a part-time role.
