Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing) - West - WCDT

About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical & Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring reliable operations and minimising equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.

• Troubleshoot equipment faults, breakdowns and perform basic root cause analysis (RCA).

• Carry out equipment installation, replacement, dismantling and servicing.

• Perform equipment calibration and validation when required.

• Respond to maintenance requests and complete tasks within the required timeframe.

• Ensure all equipment is safe and ready for operation.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.

• Coordinate with external contractors during maintenance and servicing work.

• Monitor spare parts inventory and conduct stock checks.

• Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Follow all workplace safety, health and environmental requirements.

• Carry out daily 5S housekeeping and participate in safety inspections, near-miss reporting and improvement activities.

• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, production teams and other technicians to ensure smooth plant operations.

Requirements

• Minimum ITE NITEC in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

• Able to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic RCA.

• Basic documentation and report-writing skills.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.

• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on maintenance work.

• Candidates with strong technical experience may be considered for a Senior Technician position.
