Job Description

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance and daily operation of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) within GAIN CITY warehouse. This role ensures the system operates efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and assisting in system repairs. The role may also require working at height during inspection or maintenance of ASRS equipment and racking systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for ASRS equipment such as cranes, conveyors, sensors, motors, and control systems.

  • Support the daily operation and monitoring of the ASRS system to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

  • Identify and rectify mechanical or electrical faults to minimize system downtime.

  • Conduct regular inspections of ASRS equipment and racking structures to ensure operational safety.

  • Assist in repair or replacement of damaged components including sensors, motors, belts, and rollers.

  • Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and fault reports.

  • Work closely with ASRS Engineers and Warehouse Operations Teams to resolve system issues.

  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when required for system servicing.

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.

  • Perform maintenance and inspection work at height when required, using proper safety equipment and following approved Work at Height (WAH) procedures.
