Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
Inspect and maintain building systems (Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, facilities, machines, and tools to ensure they are safe, reliable, and efficient.
Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians based on priority, skill level, and workload.
Evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures, protocols, and policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Manage spare parts inventory, vendor contracts, and supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective replacement of worn-out parts and equipment.
Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, production, and quality control, to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues that impact plant productivity and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repair costs to identify trends, track performance, and forecast future maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including environmental, health & safety, and labor laws, and work with management to address and resolve issues as they arise.ng, ventilation etc.)
Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
Participate in coordinaton of projects (e.g. renovations)
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Requirements
Diploma mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve performance goals
Demonstrated technical expertise in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities
Sound understanding of maintenance techniques, tools, and principles
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Proficient in the use of maintenance management software, computer systems, and MS Office applications
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
