The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant to ensure optimal equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and safe operations. This role supports production by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, managing maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
1.Management Maintenance Operations
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily maintenance operations (preventive, predictive, and corrective).
- Ensure all machinery, utilities, and facilities are maintained at optimal performance levels.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptions.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement improvement measures.
2.Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors.
- Allocate manpower effectively to meet maintenance and operational priorities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support skill development initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3.Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs.
- Analyze equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Utilize maintenance management systems to track work orders and asset history.
4.Breakdown & Troubleshooting Management
- Lead rapid response to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for failures and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to restore production quickly.
5.Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, and safe work practices.
- Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
6.Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, including spare parts and labor costs.
- Optimize maintenance costs without compromising equipment reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and ensure availability of critical components.
7.Continuous Improvement & Reliability Engineering
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, efficiency, and lifespan.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or Six Sigma initiatives.
- Analyze KPIs such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
8.Vendor & Contractor Management
- Manage external vendors for repair, service, and spare parts procurement.
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Negotiate service agreements and contracts. (together with Procurement)
9.Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance, downtime, and cost analysis.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for senior management.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related fields
- Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing environment and 2 years in managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Understanding of PLCs, automation, and control systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean, and reliability engineering principles
