About our client: Our client is a leading international offshore engineering and marine solutions provider.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work: We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with strong FPSO background to support the project from engineering/design phase through to commissioning and operational readiness. This is a key position to ensure maintainability, reliability, and lifecycle performance of the FPSO systems.
1) Maintenance Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for FPSO systems (topside & hull)
- Establish preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Define equipment criticality and reliability frameworks
2) Engineering & Design Phase Involvement
- Review engineering deliverables (P&IDs, equipment datasheets, layouts)
- Provide input on maintainability, accessibility, and lifecycle cost
- Support spare parts strategy and maintenance philosophy
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP / HAZID sessions
3) Systems & Readiness
- Set up and optimise CMMS (e.g. SAP PM / Maximo)
- Develop SOPs, maintenance procedures, and documentation
- Support commissioning, start-up, and handover activities
4) Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams
- Interface with vendors, contractors, and client representatives
- Support training and handover to operations team
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Offshore industry
- Proven experience in FPSO / offshore production facilities
- Strong background in maintenance & reliability engineering
- Experience in EPC / newbuild / conversion projects preferred
- Familiar with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Able to review and interpret engineering documents (P&IDs, drawings)
- Experience in commissioning/start-up phase is an advantage
- Willing to be based in China for project duration
