We are assisting a leading chemical manufacturing company in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Piping & Project Modification Works) to join their Maintenance Section. You will play a key role in supporting the Maintenance Manager and leading a team to ensure smooth plant operations, timely project execution, and uncompromised safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors and Contractors to execute plant modification & civil works safely, efficiently, and without disruption to operations.
- Coordinate with plant operators and other maintenance groups for seamless execution of plant modifications.
- Provide engineering support for troubleshooting plant issues.
- Conduct engineering studies, cost estimations, and project execution to enhance plant performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with Purchasers on bidding documents, technical evaluations, and contractor selection for major works.
- Plan and deliver training programs to upskill staff and contractors.
- Implement and maintain management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SS651, Hazop, and Safety Case standards.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including as-built records, work procedures, and engineering specifications.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fixed equipment and piping work within the petrochemical, oil & gas, or related industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across teams and contractors.
- Safety-first mindset and a spirit of teamwork.
