Responsibilities :
1. On-Site System Troubleshooting
- Act as the L1 and L2 escalation point for all technical issues across multiple client environments.
- Investigate root-cause analysis (RCA), incident resolution, and long-term corrective action planning.
- Diagnose advanced issues, credentialing workflows, hardware faults, network routing, and subsystem integrations.
- Engage vendor support teams for deep-dive troubleshooting, bug escalations, and patch management.
- Perform hardware replacement, firmware upgrade and system patching.
2. Multi-Platform System Expertise
- Hands-on expertise in various Systems will be an advantage:
- Ability to configure, integrate, and optimize controllers, readers, credential formats, PIN/biometric workflows, and enterprise permissions across platforms is essential.
3. Maintenance, Optimization & Lifecycle Management
- Implement system preventive maintenance, system health checks, and upgrade / patching.
- Ensure proper documentation: Service reports, update of any design document if any change or upgrade of hardware or firmware.
Requirements
- Diploma / Nitec in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly recommended.
- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience
- Configure or troubleshoot faults found in servers, network switches and routers
- Troubleshoot and configure access control system
- Video Management Software such as Milestone, Genetec
Additional Requirements :
- Willingness to perform hands-on field work
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Willing to perform standby or after-hours support upon fault call activation.
- Possession of a Class 3 driving license.
