We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer with strong proficiency in Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and preferably hands-on experience in high-temperature furnace operations.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving complex mechanical and thermal systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, piping networks, instrumentation, and furnace equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to valves, pumps, flow systems, instrumentation loops, and thermal equipment.
• Ensure furnace operations meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

2. P&ID Interpretation & System Management

• Read, interpret, and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams for facility equipment.
• Verify that plant systems are installed, modified, and maintained according to approved designs.
• Support engineering teams during system upgrades or new installations.

3. High-Temperature Furnace Operations (Preferred)

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot high-temperature furnaces, kilns, or thermal processing equipment.
• Maintain temperature control systems, burners, thermocouples, insulation, and refractory materials.
• Support process optimization to improve furnace efficiency and reduce downtime.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, EHS standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct hazard assessments and apply safe work practices.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and P&ID updates.
• Provide technical reports on equipment performance, failure analysis, and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related engineering field.

• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID diagrams.
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting skills in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with valves, pumps, instrumentation, and process equipment.
• Experience with high-temperature furnace operations, thermal systems, or heat-treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of combustion systems, refractory maintenance, or thermal process control.
• Familiar with PLCs, SCADA, or automation systems (added advantage).
