About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Mainframe System Administrator (z/OS) to support and manage enterprise mainframe infrastructure within a leading banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies, system administration, infrastructure support, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM Mainframe z/OS infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain CICS, IBM MQ, and related mainframe subsystems.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and support IBM and third-party mainframe system software.
• Manage zSeries hardware, storage infrastructure, SAN, disk, and tape systems.
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Plan, implement, and support infrastructure changes, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Provide Level 3 production support and resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, system implementation, and migration activities.
• Maintain platform security, risk controls, audit compliance, and operational documentation.
• Develop and maintain host platform architecture, roadmap, and technology strategy.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe System Administration.
• Experience in a Banking or Financial Services environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• IBM z/OS
• TSO
• JES2
• ISPF
• RACF
• JCL
• CICS
• IBM MQ
• Experience with IBM zSeries hardware, SAN, disk storage, and tape management.
• Strong troubleshooting, production support, and system administration skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Mainframe infrastructure project experience.
• Performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Change management and production support.
• Audit, risk, and compliance exposure.
