Your Job
We are looking for an experienced EDM Machinist to join our Toolroom team in Singapore. In this role, you will operate CNC EDM machines to fabricate high‑precision connector molds and die inserts, supporting both production needs and new tooling projects.
Our Team
You will be part of a skilled Toolroom team working closely with Tooling Development, Stamping, Molding, Engineering, Assembly, and Maintenance to deliver high‑quality tooling solutions that support manufacturing excellence.
What You Will Do
- Operate various CNC EDM machines to fabricate precision connector molds, die inserts, jigs, and fixtures in accordance with engineering drawings
- Analyze designs and create electrode designs, jigs, and fixtures to support tooling and production requirements
- Develop, edit, and execute EDM programs using GF Charmilles, Sodick, and System 3R Work Manager
- Optimize machining strategies, power selection, and machine parameters to improve utilization, reduce downtime, and shorten process cycle time
- Perform high‑precision EDM machining to achieve tolerances of ±0.002 mm
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity while maintaining quality with zero rejection
- Conduct in‑process inspections at all stages of fabrication in line with departmental quality standards and procedures
- Support production departments by prioritizing urgent tooling and spare requirements as needed
- Ensure all assigned projects are completed on time while meeting in‑house quality and safety standards
- Maintain proper housekeeping and comply with all safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Compile and consolidate machine utilization data and update reports in SAP
- Ensure all tooling inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated in accordance with the Quality Management System
- Provide feedback on tooling performance and, where applicable, staff performance to supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management and be willing to work rotating shifts
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- NTC 2 or NTC 3 qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor molds or die fabrication
- At least 2 years experience in electrode design and fixture analysis
- Hands‑on experience with CNC EDM machining
- Comfortable working rotating shifts and supporting urgent job requirements
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5 years experience operating Charmilles 35P and AG40 Sodick machines
- Experience with NX CAM and Quick Electrode design software
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and continuous improvement focus
- Familiarity with SAP and machine utilization reporting
