This role is responsible for conducting on-site valuation surveys of property, plant, and equipment to support accurate asset valuation for insurance and financial reporting purposes. Acting as a key liaison at client sites, the role involves working closely with clients while coordinating with the internal operations team and wider organization to ensure efficient project delivery.
The client is an independent global advisory firm specializing in the valuation of commercial and industrial buildings, civil works, structures, plants, and equipment. The firm provides high-quality, independent valuations to support insurance, financial reporting, lending, and asset management requirements.
The company works closely with insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, financial institutions, and asset owners to assess reinstatement costs, indemnity values, and actual cash values, while also delivering defensible asset valuations and fixed asset documentation.
The Job
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and confidence in the company's ability to support the valuation process and facilitate site surveys for the collection of information required in valuation reports.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to monitor the status of ongoing assignments and manage scheduling effectively.
- Conduct site visits to survey properties, plants, and equipment, ensuring all relevant details are captured in accordance with the surveying checklist.
- Prepare comprehensive valuation reports, including appropriate appendices, initially in draft form for client review and feedback.
- Address client queries and incorporate feedback to deliver the final valuation report.
- Collaborate with the Accounts team to ensure timely invoices upon submission of final reports.
- Undertake cost research between valuations and liaise with researchers and the wider valuation team to ensure the sharing of relevant information.
- Support colleagues within the valuation team as needed, including proofreading reports, providing input on survey timing for proposals, and assisting with other ad hoc tasks.
- Stay current with RICS and IVS standards, guidelines, and regulatory changes.
- Identify and mitigate risks while adhering to company's policies and role responsibilities.
- Apply project management skills to schedule tasks, track milestones, verify progress, and report on project status.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of company's internal systems, policies, and controls.

- Background in Engineering/Surveying.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of project management methodologies, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Commitment and ability to work towards professional membership with RICS, ASA, API, or other relevant industry associations.
- Eligible and willing to travel (Asia) as required, potentially exceeding 30% of the role.
