Configure machines by installing tools, fixtures, chucks, and collets. This includes setting machine datums (work offsets) and tool offsets (length and radius compensation) for both lathes and mills.
Operate CNC machines to perform turning (OD/ID, facing, tapering, threading) and milling (drilling, boring, tapping, contouring) tasks.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and G-code/M-code programs to understand specifications, dimensions, and tolerances
Perform first-off inspections to verify that the first part produced meets all engineering specifications using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and gauges.
Make minor edits and adjustments to CNC programs at the controller
Select, align, and change cutting tools (inserts, drills, end mills) as required by the production process.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring machines are properly guarded, and keeping the workspace clean and safe
- Must know how to Operate Conventional Turning & Milling
- Must know CNC milling with Master Cam knowledge
- Must know how to Operate the 3 meter Slotting Machine & Deep Hole drilling machine
