Machine Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic Central Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all kitchen equipment and machinery. As a Machine Maintenance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various kitchen machinery and equipment, including ovens, mixers, refrigerators, freezers, and more.

- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot technical issues, and execute timely repairs to minimize disruptions to kitchen operations.

- Maintain accurate and organized records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and replacement parts.

- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff to proactively identify potential equipment issues and provide effective solutions.

- Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated equipment to enhance overall kitchen efficiency.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine maintenance techniques and technologies.

- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a secure work environment.

- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to source spare parts and technical assistance when necessary.

Qualifications:

- Higher NITEC/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in machine maintenance, ideally within a commercial kitchen or food production setting.

- Solid comprehension of various kitchen equipment, their components, and operational principles.

- Proficiency in diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.

- Basic computer skills for maintaining accurate maintenance records and effective communication.

- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards related to machine maintenance.

Language Requirements:

-Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) languages is essential for seamless communication with team members, suppliers, and documentation purposes.
