Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision to join our Genesis MedTech Singapore AI Innovation organization to drive future innovations in minimally invasive surgery. If you are a motivated and creative engineer with a strong interest in machine learning and computer vision, and enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, this will be an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will develop new products across a wide spectrum of surgical technologies, applying computer vision techniques to address unmet needs in the current surgical landscape. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop Digital Surgery applications. You will also participate in the full machine learning model lifecycle, leveraging real-world datasets to build and test models supporting minimally invasive surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of Digital Surgery applications that leverage machine learning and computer vision technologies to assist surgeons across all phases of minimally invasive surgery.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver world-class Digital Surgery applications.
• Participate in the full machine learning model lifecycle, including researching, developing, deploying and monitoring of the machine learning model.
• Utilize real-world datasets to build, validate, and optimize machine learning models and computer vision algorithms.
• Work closely with surgeons and clinical stakeholders to understand clinical needs and translate them into impactful technical solutions.
• Contribute to the development of innovative computer vision technologies to address unmet needs in the current surgical landscape.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic R&D environment while maintaining a customer-centric mindset.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, with research or thesis focus in computer vision.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Experience in computer vision R&D, with exposure to areas such as segmentation, image registration, tracking, or 3D reconstruction.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, version control, build processes, testing, and deployment.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 25% based on business needs.
