Overview
We are seeking a proactive Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions by translating user and stakeholder requirements into actionable product outcomes. You will work closely with Product Managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to identify business opportunities, define requirements, and drive the successful delivery of digital products.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with experience in product development and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements and user needs.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user interviews to identify business opportunities and define problem statements.
- Evaluate existing business processes and technology solutions to identify gaps, improvements, and opportunities for innovation.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Work closely with Product Managers, designers, and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Define success metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to measure product performance and business outcomes.
- Analyse post-release performance, gather user feedback, and recommend enhancements for continuous product improvement.
- Assess the impact of change requests, evaluate feasibility, and support prioritisation based on business value and technical effort.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and product demonstrations.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Product Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role within digital product or software development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and synthesise data into actionable business insights.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of user story creation, process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process improvement.
- Experience defining KPIs, analysing product performance, and building reports or dashboards using data-driven metrics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using Agile project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is advantageous.
