M04 - Software Quality Engineer (Test Automation)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for front-end UI, API, and performance testing.
• Enhance and extend existing automation frameworks to improve test coverage and reliability.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps Engineers.
• Establish QA standards, best practices, and automation strategies across the engineering team.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Product Managers to review requirements, identify testability concerns, and define acceptance criteria.
• Investigate and troubleshoot test failures, distinguishing between application defects and test automation issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.
• Evaluate and leverage GenAI tools to enhance testing processes, including test case generation, test data management, and test result analysis.
• Contribute to QA documentation, including testing frameworks, standards, processes, and best practices.
• Promote a quality-first engineering culture and advocate for test automation across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in QA Engineering or Test Automation with a strong focus on automated testing.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests for UI, API, and performance testing.
• Experience with Java and/or JavaScript testing frameworks and ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to evaluate, recommend, and adopt suitable QA tools and technologies.
• Experience establishing or contributing to QA standards, frameworks, and testing practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative software development environments.
• Exposure to or interest in applying GenAI tools within software testing workflows.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
