1. Site Supervision

-Supervise mechanical and electrical installation works (e.g., HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, power, lighting, ELV systems).

-Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

-Check that contractors work complies with regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, NEA in Singapore).

2. Quality Control

-Inspect and verify materials, workmanship, and testing procedures.

-Conduct site inspections and functional testing of M&E systems (e.g., T&C, pressure tests, insulation tests).

-Identify and report defects or non-conformance to the Qualified Person (QP) or Resident Engineer (RE).

3. Coordination

-Coordinate with architectural, structural, and C&S trades to resolve site issues.

-Attend site coordination and progress meetings.

-Ensure proper sequencing of M&E works to avoid conflicts with other trades.

4. Documentation

-Maintain site records, inspection reports, and daily progress logs.

-Assist in reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.

-Support the QP/RE in preparing reports for client and authority submissions.

5. Safety & Compliance

-Monitor that works comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

-Report unsafe practices or potential hazards on site.

6. Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

-Witness or assist in T&C of M&E systems before handover.

-Verify test results and ensure systems meet design intent and operational requirements.
