Job Responsibilities
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
Tender & Estimation
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for M&E and electrical projects.
- Review tender drawings, specifications and contract documents.
- Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare tender submissions within required timelines.
- Assist in cost planning and value engineering.
Commercial Administration
- Prepare progress claims and payment applications.
- Prepare and evaluate variation order (VO) quotations.
- Monitor project costs and budgets.
- Assist in preparing final accounts.
- Review subcontractor claims and payment recommendations.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
Project Support
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and cost performance.
- Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors.
- Prepare commercial reports and cost analysis.
- Support contract administration and project documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant M&E or construction experience will have an advantage.
- Able to read construction and M&E drawings.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Responsible, organised and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
