Role Overview
Assist Project Manager to lead, manage and execute the M&E works so that the project will complete in accordance with the authority requirement and consultant design, at the same time meet the safety, quality, and schedule requirement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and lead the M&E works: - HVAC - LV Electrical Works & Fixtures - Fire Protection System - Plumbing & Sanitary System - Laboratory Instrument & Furniture - Cold Room.
- Coordinate M&E works with all aspects of design, construction and liaise with Client, building professionals, sub-contractors.
- Liaise with sub-cons, consultants and authorities.
- Monitor project status, site progress and update project schedule.
- Expected to provide solutions for M&E technical issues e Maintain the record of the site event / activities and preparation of analysis report for variations impact on cost & time.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Interpretation of M&E design & drawings, good understanding of codes & regulations, Green Mark requirements.
- Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good time management skills. e Sound understanding of project management in relation to deliverables, timeframes, productivity, dependencies and critical path.
- Ability to remain calm and productive in a high-pressure environment.
- Involved in design development, drawings and material submissions for approval, QA/QC works such as Inspection, Testing & Commissioning, test packs for handing over of M&E System (With Client Representative & RTO).
Background Experience
- 5 years or above as Senior M&E Engineer / Manager (Would be an advantage)
- Experience in working as Senior M&E Engineer / Manager in the industrial / plant project of $5 million and above.
- Competency of MS Office, BIM, Navisworks and ACAD would be an advantage.
