Position: M&E Engineer

Job Description:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise M&E works on site to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and quality standards.

  • Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical documents.

  • Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural, and other trades to resolve technical and site coordination issues.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities where required.

  • Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, and subcontractors performance to ensure timely completion of works.

  • Check and verify site installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and statutory requirements.

  • Assist in preparing RFAs, technical submissions, progress reports, inspection records, testing and commissioning documents, and handover documents.

  • Attend site meetings, technical meetings, and coordination meetings, and follow up on comments, instructions, and outstanding matters.

  • Identify discrepancies in drawings, site constraints, and technical issues, and propose practical solutions.

  • Coordinate testing and commissioning works for M&E systems before project handover.

  • Ensure all M&E works comply with workplace safety and health requirements.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in M&E works, building services, or construction projects is preferred.

  • Able to read and understand M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents.

  • Good knowledge of ACMV, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection, and other building services systems.

  • Familiar with Singapore construction site practices, authority requirements, and safety regulations.

  • Good coordination, communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently and manage site issues under a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.

  • Good team player with a responsible working attitude.

  • Able to start work within short notice will be an advantage.
