We are seeking a qualified and experienced M&E Engineer to join our team. You will play a vital role in the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems for our construction projects.
Job Description
- To always check the structural drawings and architectural drawings together with the M&E drawings for coordination and resolve conflict I problems.
- To ensure that M&E sub-contractors are issued a set of relevant structural and architectural drawings for their preparation of their shop drawings and issue any subsequent amendment drawings, sketches or information as the work progresses.
- To liaise with sub-contractors on such discrepancies in their drawings and then inform the consultants and Project Manager on regular basis and follow up action until resolved.
- To monitor and control the progress of M&E sub contractors so that they do not delay the works of trades others and vice versa.
- To liaise with M&E sub-contractors on production of structural penetration drawings and cast-in items and inform the Project Engineer of such provision at technical meetings
- To ensure M&E shop drawings from the M&E sub contractors are available to our Architectural Coordinator and Project Engineer for site work reference during the construction stage.
- To assist Project Manager and M&E Manager to resolve conflict among M&E sub-contractors.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the temporary site power and water supply and sanitary facility.
- Attend all consultant site meetings, technical meetings and sub-contractor meeting
Job Requirement
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or degree in relevant subject.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with exposure to M&E systems (a plus).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
