M&E Engineer / Coordinator (Construction site)

Our client is a well-established construction and engineering company with a strong presence in large-scale industrial and infrastructure developments across Singapore. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for M&E Engineers / M&E Coordinators to join their project operations team. They are located in the (North-East / East / West) - easily accessible.

• M&E Engineers (West x1 & East x1)

• M&E Coordinators (North East x1)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and review M&E shop drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, method statements, and project documentation.

• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth coordination of M&E works.

• Monitor site progress, installation activities, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.

• Identify design clashes, technical discrepancies, and construction issues prior to work execution and follow up on resolutions.

• Support Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities, inspections, as-built documentation, and authority submissions.

• Coordinate material procurement schedules, delivery timelines, and subcontractor work sequences to support project milestones.

• Attend project coordination, technical, and site meetings to track project progress and outstanding issues.

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, safety regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and site operational requirements.

• Prepare progress updates, inspection records, variation tracking, and related project reports.

• Support junior supervisors and coordinators on technical coordination and site execution matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination or engineering within construction projects.

• Experience in industrial manufacturing projects with project area of at least 26,000 sqm in Singapore will be advantageous.

• Familiar with local authority requirements including BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, NEA, and LTA regulations, as well as M&E systems, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and construction coordination processes.
