M&E Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works on site, including ACMV, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and sanitary systems.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure M&E works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Review M&E shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions before submission to consultants.
• Monitor site progress and ensure M&E works are completed on schedule and within project requirements.
• Coordinate M&E works with architectural and structural works to avoid clashes and delays.
• Attend coordination meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions with consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore authorities requirements, including BCA and relevant statutory regulations.
• Monitor testing and commissioning of M&E systems and ensure proper documentation submission.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site related to M&E works.
• Ensure safety standards and proper work procedures are followed on site.
• Assist Project Manager in planning and coordinating M&E installation activities.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain proper site records for M&E works.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant M&E coordination experience in building construction projects in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of M&E systems such as ACMV, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems.
• Familiar with local authority requirements and submission procedures in Singapore.
• Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with consultants and subcontractors.
• Familiar with BIM coordination and clash detection (preferred).
• Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (BIM knowledge is an advantage).
