M&E Building Technician (Retail Mall East)

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on technical and operational support to on-site M&E system.

• Carry out routine site rounds, log operational data for critical systems, and execute scheduled preventive maintenance to keep everything running in top shape.

• Tackle preliminary troubleshooting and repair work for basic electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

• Maintain, service, and account for operational tools, spare parts, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient working condition.

• Supervise contractors and vendor partners, making sure their work complies with quality standards, house rules, and safety regulations.

• Respond promptly and professionally to tenant feedback and M&E concerns, ensuring a great experience for all occupants.

• Keep clean, well-organized records of all daily servicing, repairs, and vendor visits.

• Assist with coordination for tenant fitting-out works, event setups, and promotional activations across the mall.

• Actively take part in fire safety exercises and ensure all fire and life safety guidelines are closely followed on the ground.

• Step in to assist with ad-hoc facility tasks and operational needs as they arise.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of practical experience in facilities maintenance, ideally within a shopping mall or commercial complex environment.

• Solid baseline knowledge of mechanical and electrical trades, along with general familiarity with local building authority codes and safety standards.

• A proactive, hands-on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining high building standards.

• Strong team player with a service-oriented mindset and friendly communication skills when interacting with tenants and contractors.
