We're looking for an M&E Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering technically complex interior and specialised space projects. This role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and on-site execution - ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership from concept through delivery while working closely with designers, consultants, and builders.
Your new role
- Take the lead on mechanical and electrical design activities across multiple projects
- Support project delivery teams with detailed M&E planning and technical input
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to align design intent and execution
- Translate design concepts into buildable engineering solutions for mechanical and electrical systems
- Review cost considerations alongside design development to ensure efficiency and feasibility
- Oversee site works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes
- Prepare and review shop drawings, testing & commissioning documents, and technical schedules
- Coordinate technical submissions with suppliers and subcontractors
- Participate in technical discussions to resolve design, coordination, or site-related challenges
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Singapore's construction or fit-out environment
- Solid grounding in M&E design principles and systems coordination
- Hands-on exposure to installation and commissioning experience with technically sensitive or high-risk environments is advantageous
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of local regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Comfortable using AutoCAD for design and coordination
- Detail-oriented, solution-focused, and confident communicating with multiple stakeholders
