Job Responsibilities
M&E Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design, installation, and integration of M&E systems on construction projects. The role acts as a link between engineering, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the client to ensure M&E works are properly planned, coordinated, and delivered in line with schedule, safety, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate all M&E works with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review M&E drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submittals for compliance and constructability.
- Monitor site installation progress and ensure M&E works are executed safely, on time, and to required quality standards.
- Resolve technical clashes and coordination issues between M&E systems and other trades.
- Support planning of installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities with engineers.
- Track materials, manpower, and work fronts to support smooth site execution.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, building codes, and project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain M&E reports, coordination records, and progress updates.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in M&E Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in M&E / MEP coordination within the construction industry.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Ability to review drawings, submittals, and technical details accurately.
- Able to converse with English and Chinese speaking clients, contractors and vendors to complete projects effectively.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with subcontractors, consultants, and project/site teams.
- Local working experience needed.
