We are partnering with a US-listed multinational to appoint an M&A Counsel to join its regional legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex cross-border acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and corporate transactions within a highly regarded global organisation.
The role is well suited to candidates currently practising at a top-tier international law firm, as well as those with relevant in-house corporate/M&A experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, strategic investments, divestments, and joint ventures.
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of transaction documentation, including share purchase agreements, investment agreements, and ancillary documents.
- Partner closely with business leaders, finance, tax, and external counsel throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Conduct and coordinate legal due diligence, identify key risks, and provide commercially pragmatic solutions.
- Support post-acquisition integration and corporate governance matters where required.
- Advise on a broad range of corporate and strategic initiatives across the region.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 7–10 years PQE.
- Strong M&A and corporate transactional experience gained at a top-tier international law firm and/or within a multinational corporate legal team.
- Proven experience advising on cross-border transactions.
- Commercially astute with excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
