About the Opportunity
Spencer Ogden is partnering with a prominent energy firm on hiring an M&A Associate/Senior Associate into their Investment team in Singapore to work alongside fellow associates to work across multiple streams, including infrastructure and renewable energy.
As an Associate/Senior Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating, executing, and managing investment/M&A opportunities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a young finance professional passionate about renewables and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the origination and execution of M&A, and corporate advisory transactions
- Conduct detailed financial modelling, valuation analyses (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions) and business case development
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables including information memorandums, pitch presentations, financial reports, and board papers
- Conduct comprehensive industry, market, and company research to support transaction strategies
- Participate in due diligence processes, including coordinating with clients, legal, tax, and other advisors
- Support deal negotiations, documentation, and execution alongside senior team members
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and supervise Analysts to ensure project deliverables are met to a high standard
- Proactively contribute to business development initiatives and firm growth strategies
About You:
- 2-6 years total working experience in investment management (private markets), investment banking, or having done investments in an energy firm.
- Strong technical financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Exposure to energy transactions and wider APAC transactional exposure
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality
- Ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team environment
