The Company

My client, a leading broker with a strong presence in APAC. Due to recent expansion, they are seeking for a Director for Business Development for their Singapore office.

The Role

  • Developed and aligned long-term partnership strategies and annual business plans to drive sustainable growth across key accounts and SME segments
  • Identified target market opportunities and built strategic business development initiatives across corporate partnerships and distribution channels
  • Built and managed a strong pipeline of new business opportunities while optimizing existing partnerships and schemes
  • Leveraged digital capabilities and innovative solutions to enhance B2B engagement and improve end-customer experience
  • Strengthened key account relationships by identifying emerging opportunities and delivering tailored protection and financial solutions
  • Managed stakeholder relationships across multiple levels, building trust and long-term strategic partnerships
  • Conducted in-depth needs analysis across customer segments to ensure solutions and service delivery aligned with client expectations
  • Expanded client relationships through proactive solutioning, cross-selling opportunities, and strategic account management
  • Acted as the key liaison between clients, partners, sponsors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution
  • Led sales and service teams to deliver profitable growth while monitoring market trends and implementing appropriate commercial strategies

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from reputable university or BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field
  • Minimum 8+ years experience as Account Manager or sales and providing solutions based on customer needs in an Insurance Broking environment
  • Proven experience in managing large / complex key accounts with multiple stakeholders
  • Experienced in the field of broking / sales / customer relations at least 5 years
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work effectively and cooperatively with internal stakeholders and other cross-border collaboration
