Description and Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Administer and optimize WinTel server performance.
  • Perform 24 x 7 stand-by for service contract and maintenance services in rotating basis for critical production systems, ensuring high availability and system health.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, implementation issues and upgrades.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform technical support for application and hardware issues related to Dell PoweEdge servers, CyberArk, Infoblox, RSA, Thales Luna HSM, PureStoage, Tenable, Cisco UCS Servers
  • Manage storage provisioning and expansion.
  • Ensure timely application of security patches and OS updates.
  • Perform user administration tasks.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery operations using enterprise backup system using Commvault.
  • Provision and manage LUNs using Pure Storage.

Project Specific Expertise Needed:

  • Windows server management
    • Experience in managing large-scale Active Directory environments
    • Proficiency in Windows Server failover clustering and load balancing
  • Enterprise OS Management (Wintel):
    • System configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
    • Performance tuning and optimization
    • Skilled in user and group management
    • File system management and storage allocation
  • Directory Services & Authentication:
    • Windows: Active Directory (AD) administration and Group Policy management
    • Experience in configuring and maintaining Domain Controllers (DC) for Windows
    • Identity management implementation
  • Patch & Update Management:
    • Windows: Proficient in Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
    • Planning and execution of system updates
  • OS Security & Compliance:
    • OS hardening based on CIS benchmarks
    • Security patching and compliance auditing
  • Monitoring & Management Tools:
    • Deployment of system monitoring agents
    • Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Automation & Scripting:
    • Windows: PowerShell scripting for automation
    • Use scripting for automation and task scheduling
  • Virtualization & Cloud:
    • Experience with hypervisors and virtual machines
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, load balancers, firewalls, and OS clustering
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:
    • Familiar with Commvault backup
    • Implementation of OS-level backup solutions
    • Disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Storage Technologies:
    • Familiarity with Pure Storage
    • LUN provisioning and management
  • EUCD Endpoint Deployment Support:
    • Create and move hostname to in relevant OU group in Active Directory
    • Assign Security group policy
    • Push PXE Boot to Endpoint
    • Install Network Access Control (NAC)
    • Software and Patch Management pushdown to Endpoint

Requirements:

  • Singaporean due to security clearance requirement.
  • 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration, implementation & Troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is preferred.
  • VMware vSphere 8.x Professional Certification is preferred.
  • Experienced in Hypervisor platform (Hyper-V clustering or VMware).
  • Experience in OS installation, configuration and fine tuning, security hardening, system audit.
  • Experience in ITIL process - Incident management, Change management, Configuration management.
  • Good experience in automating with powershell scripting.
  • Basic experience in public cloud such as AWS & Azure is preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Innovative and proactive approach to system administration
