LPG Trader (Back-to-Back)

Description

We are partnering with a state-owned enterprise to search for an experienced LPG Physical Trader to manage back-to-back trading activities across regional and international LPG markets. The role involves sourcing and placing LPG cargoes, managing trading exposure, optimizing logistics, and developing strong relationships with counterparties across the LPG value chain.

Role

Reporting to managing director of Singapore. The role will execute and manage physical LPG trades on a back-to-back basis by sourcing and placing cargoes while minimizing market exposure. Identify arbitrage opportunities across regional markets, negotiate spot and term contracts, and monitor global LPG pricing benchmarks and supply-demand dynamics. Coordinate closely with operations and shipping teams to manage cargo scheduling, vessel nominations, and documentation, while optimizing logistics and freight. Maintain strong relationships with producers, traders, and end-users, while ensuring adherence to risk management guidelines and trading limits.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will a bachelor's degree in finance, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in LPG trading, with a proven track record in back-to-back cargo trading and a strong understanding of LPG markets, supply chains, pricing benchmarks, and shipping logistics. They should possess strong commercial negotiation and analytical skills, the ability to identify arbitrage opportunities, and experience managing trading risk and counterparties., and familiarity with commodity trading systems and established industry networks within the LPG market would be advantageous.
