About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Low-Code Engineer with strong exposure to Geospatial / GIS technologies to join our technology team. In this position, you'll take ownership of GIS solution delivery, work closely with external technology partners, and ensure the overall quality, design standards, and business value of delivered systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development and enhancement of GIS applications built on ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Design, build, and maintain FME workflows to support spatial data transformation and integration.
- Develop and support REST-based services for geospatial functions, including clash analysis and spatial services.
- Improve performance by tuning spatial queries and optimising GIS service efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to decisions around geospatial architecture and solution design.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on development experience in one or more of the following geospatial areas:
+ 3D mapping
+ Surveying and mapping
+ Map layer configuration / management
+ Global positioning / GPS-related solutions
- Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs for spatial services.
- Solid knowledge of spatial databases such as Oracle Spatial and/or PostGIS.
- Basic Python scripting experience for GIS automation tasks.
- Understanding of web mapping standards and geospatial protocols (e.g., OGC).
- Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments.
Technical Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of at least one GIS / geospatial software platform.
- Programming: Python, JavaScript
- Databases: Oracle Spatial or PostGIS; Oracle / MySQL / MSSQL
- Web services: REST, SOAP
- Version control: GitLab (or similar tools)
- Familiarity with spatial analysis tools and spatial ETL / data transformation tooling
Good to Have
- Experience supporting GIS projects in the Singapore Government sector.
- Familiarity with Singapore Government Technology Stack (SGTS).
- Experience integrating with OneMap APIs.
- Awareness of government security and compliance requirements related to spatial data.
- Exposure to cloud-based GIS platforms.
- Experience handling spatial big data use cases.
- Background in 3D GIS application development.
