LORRY DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied
• Inform admin colleagues if there are any order discrepancy and report to Manager on any returned stock
• Responsible for daily routine checks and maintain the general cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Liaise with Manager to arrange for regular maintenance and servicing of vehicle
• Comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to speed limits, traffic laws and regulations
• Drive safely and abide to all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
• Interacting with clients in professional conduct.
• Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Required to do SO duties
• Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by Company

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Min 4 years of experience in related industry
• Class 3/4 Driving Licence compulsory Company's vehicle is not allowed to drive home
• The candidate is required to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays able to work longer hours
• The candidate is required to oversee, supervise and coordinate the work safely
• The candidate is required to work independently
• Capabilities of delivery route planning
• Knowledge of GPS equipment knowledge of DOT regulations, preferred
• Not be colour-blind or hearing-impaired
• Be vigilant, decisive with a keen eye for details
• Be a team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess good observation and problem solving skills
• Be well-groomed and pleasant when interacting with stakeholders
