LORRY DRIVER

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Operations

• Deliver goods according to assigned route and delivery schedule
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time (especially priority orders)
• Follow route planning instructions (e.g. RouteFlow / assigned routes)
• Plan driving route efficiently to reduce time and fuel

2. Loading & Vehicle Preparation

• Check goods loaded against delivery list before departure
• Ensure proper stacking and securing of goods in lorry
• Use canvas cover when load exceeds lorry height to prevent items falling
• Ensure vehicle is clean and ready before each trip

3. Safe Driving & Compliance

• Drive safely and comply with all traffic laws and regulations
• Ensure goods are transported securely without damage
• Avoid harsh driving that may cause goods to fall or shift
• Maintain valid driving license (Class 3 / 4 / 5 as required)

4. Delivery Handling

• Deliver goods to correct customer location
• Ensure correct items and quantities are delivered
• Obtain customer acknowledgment (signature / invoice check)
• Handle goods carefully (no throwing or rough handling)

5. Coordination & Communication

• Communicate with operations team on:Delivery progressDelays or issues (traffic, customer unavailable, etc.)
• Report discrepancies (missing items, wrong orders) immediately

6. Vehicle Care & Maintenance

• Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, tires, lights, brakes)
• Report any mechanical issues or damages
• Keep lorry clean and in good condition

7. Safety & Responsibility

• Ensure no goods fall from lorry during transport
• Rearrange goods during delivery if space opens up
• Follow company safety SOP at all times

Requirements

• Valid Singapore driving license (Class 3 / 4 preferred)
• Experience in delivery driving (warehouse/logistics preferred)
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy goods
• Responsible, punctual, and disciplined
• Familiar with Singapore roads and routes

Working Hours

• 9am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday]
