Lorry Driver

Job Description:

. Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck

. Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries

. Meeting delivery deadlines

. Performing basic truck maintenance

. Loading and unloading cargo

. Tracking shipments and deliveries

. Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed

. Long-distance driving

. Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers

. Obeying and following traffic laws

. Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle

. Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

. Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules

. Reporting defects, accidents and violations

. Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)

. Loading and unloading box trucks with pallet jacks

. Interacting with customers in a professional manner

Requirements:

. Possess valid Singapore Class 3 and 4 License

. Experience in driving a 10ft to 20ft truck

. Minimum 3 year driving experience

. Familiar with Singapore road routes and traffic rules

. Able to start work immediately or within short period

. Ability to organise your time and workload

. Ability to work well with others

. Must be able to work on weekends when required
