Job Description:
We are seeking for a reliable and responsible Lorry Driver to support daily delivery operations. The role involves transporting goods, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently between clients and warehouses.
This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a focus on delivering products in optimal condition.
Responsibilities:
- Drive company lorry to deliver goods and car equipment to assigned locations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of the products onto the lorry, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules. Familiarize yourself with delivery locations and navigate using GPS or Google Maps.
- Ensure all delivery items are handled properly and delivered on time.
- Ensure that goods are stored and transported in a manner that preserves their quality and freshness. Report any issues or damage promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts, delivery notes, and invoices. Collect payments when required and issue receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and good working condition of the vehicle.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the lorry, including inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations. Report any mechanical issues for prompt repairs.
- Assist in simple logistics or warehouse duties when necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
- Support ad-hoc operational tasks and assist other departments when needed.
- Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
- Able to work in pressure environment and need work under the sun.
- Able to work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
- Able to work night and rotating shifts.
- Off day will be arranged by the company (not on weekends).
- This position requires flexibility to work on fixed or shift hours, 6-day work week, and standby for 24-hour operations when required.
Requirement
- At least 3 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
- Must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
- Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license or able to take Class 3 Driving License.
- Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety practice
- Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
- Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
