Job Description

Driving and Vehicle Operation:Safely operate commercial vehicles for transporting goods, materials, or equipment over short or long distances.
Loading and Unloading:Assist with or supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are properly secured and protected from damage.
Route and Schedule Planning:Plan efficient delivery routes and schedules in coordination with transport managers or dispatchers.
Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct daily vehicle checks, including for tires, brakes, and oil, and report any issues or perform basic maintenance.
Record Keeping:Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documents, trip reports, and records of driving hours.
Compliance:Adhere to all road haulage regulations, company policies, and traffic rules, including those for vehicle size, weight, and parking.
Customer Service:Provide reliable and courteous service to customers, representing the company professionally.
