Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loose Cargo Operations Controller to oversee and coordinate loose cargo handling activities, ensuring efficient, safe, and timely cargo movement within the warehouse and terminal environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily loose cargo handling operations to maintain smooth workflow
- Execute cargo receiving, loading, unloading, and storage processes accurately and safely
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel, transporters, customers, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations
- Monitor cargo flow and update systems and documentation precisely to reflect real-time status
- Prepare, verify, and maintain operational and shipping-related documentation to support compliance and tracking
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during all operations
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions
- Support initiatives to improve operational efficiency and accuracy continuously
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum GCE N/O Level or equivalent qualification
- Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage
- Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, cargo handling, or freight operations
- Proficient in basic computer applications including MS Excel, email, and data entry systems
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to work shifts or extended hours as required
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and operationally demanding environment
