Job Title: Looker Architect
Location: Singapore
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Looker Architect to design, develop, and optimize scalable BI and analytics solutions for enterprise reporting and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Looker, BigQuery, modern data warehousing concepts, and dashboard architecture with hands-on experience in building high-performance analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable BI and analytics architectures using Looker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Build and maintain semantic data models, governed datasets, and reusable reporting layers
- Develop complex dashboards and multi-page reports with drill-down and KPI capabilities
- Optimize query performance and reporting latency using BigQuery optimization techniques and BI Engine
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions and user-friendly visualizations
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, access control, and version management
- Work closely with Data Engineers and Analytics teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting accuracy
- Drive performance tuning, data quality improvements, and reporting scalability initiatives
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Support deployment, testing, and production rollout activities
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in BI, Analytics, or Data Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Looker / Looker Studio
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Lakehouse, and Medallion Architecture
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery and GCP ecosystem
- Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization
- Experience in semantic layer design and data modeling
- Knowledge of dashboard performance optimization techniques
- Experience with data governance, access control, and reporting security
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
