The Logistics Technician proactively identifies inventory issues such as aging inventory, inventory discrepancy and warehouse capacity.
Your Responsibilities
Overview:
- Ensure all warehouse operations work processes are in accordance to established procedures and standards.
- Strictly adhere to cGMP's, local regulations (NEA, SCDF, SPF and HSA) and work procedures regarding hazardous material receiving, sampling, storage, and issuance.
- Ensure all direct materials are handled per validated requirement for transportation, storage, receipt and issuing.
- Meet site's Environment, Health & Safety performance objectives through compliance with safety regulations.
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors promptly.
- Timely issuance of materials to support minimal material disruption.
Inbound Shipment:
- Coordinate and provide information needed for inbound transportation
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or delivery documents.
- Unload deliveries using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks if certified).
- Inspect goods for damage, quantity and accuracy, report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Accurately document and perform inbound transactions in SAP system.
- Label and sort goods for proper placement in storage locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inbound receiving areas.
- Collaborate with procurement and quality control teams to resolve any receiving issues.
- Ensure inbound shipments are properly tracked.
Outbound Shipment:
- Pick products accurately from inventory based on sales orders, shipping requests or pick lists.
- Pack, label, and prepare goods for outbound shipment in accordance with company and carrier requirements.
- Verify product quantities and descriptions before shipping.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics teams to schedule pickups and ensure timely dispatch.
- Generate and apply shipping documents such as packing slips, shipping labels, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of outbound staging areas.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they are free from damage and properly secured.
- Report any order discrepancies or delays to the supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipment issues by working with relevant departments.
- Ensure inbound shipments are properly tracked.
Shopfloor Material Transfer:
- Pick raw materials, components or parts based on production schedules and Kanban orders.
- Deliver materials to designated production lines, racks or workstations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Replenish and maintain appropriate material stock levels on the shopfloor.
- Scan and update material movements in SAP system.
- Communicate with production and warehouse teams to resolve material shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized staging area between warehouse and shopfloor.
- Return unused or excess materials from the shopfloor to inventory with proper transactions.
- Set up and maintain Kanban cards in SAP and in shopfloor to facilitate material transfer.
- Execute material number conversion in MES system
Inventory Management:
- Conduct physical stock count according to defined work schedule, reconcile and resolve cycle count discrepancies.
- Perform timely and accurate SAP transactions for all materials movements.
- Monitor stock expiry dates and alert relevant departments in advance
Others:
- Coordinate work clothes replenishment and collection, such as gowns, booties, smocks etc.
- Ensure sufficient work clothes to support daily production usage
- Any other tasks deemed by management as necessary

Lean Manufacturing:
- Utilize 5S, 7-Wastes as a problem-solving tool.
- Understand the Kanban, Pull Production & Just-In-Time material flow logic and handling.
Project Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Adapt JDI (Just-Do-It) as project initiative to tackle issue.
Your Profile
- NTC/ ITE/ GCE O/N Level
- NTC/ ITE: At least 4 years of relevant working experience in Logistics/ manufacturing environment.
- GCE O/N Level: At least 6 years of relevant working experience in Logistics/ manufacturing environment.
- Prior working experience in medical devices industry is preferable.
- Familiar with ISO13485 and cGMP is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed procedures in English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels.
- Well verse in SAP and Microsoft application such as Excel is preferable.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
