Delta Electronics INT'L (Singapore) aims to develop nucleic acid extraction and point-of-care in vitro diagnostics (IVD) systems. Per our business development needs, we offer the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager position. You will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and help to enhance the business and strengthen the operations in MBSBD. We are seeking a highly talented and motivated strategic Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to optimize our end-to-end supply chain, enhance efficiency, and drive cost saving.
The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing and managing our business unit's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations. You will play a key role in maximizing process efficiency and productivity, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from supplier to customer. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of modern supply chain principles and a proven track record of improving performance matrices.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with MBSBD goal.
- Analyse data from shipping and delivery processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
- Evaluate and report on KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage the supply chain budget and forecast requirements to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Logistics & Transportation:
- Manage all transportation modes, including inbound freight, outbound shipments to customers, and inter-facility transfers.
- Select, manage, and negotiate contracts with logistics partners (carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs).
- Ensure on-time shipping and delivery performance, tracking shipments and resolving any delays or issues.
- Oversee customs clearance and international trade compliance for imports/exports.
Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities.
- Utilize ERP/SAP systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
Warehouse & Distribution:
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure warehouse layout and processes are optimized for efficiency and safety.
- Manage relationships with third-party warehouse (3PL) providers if appliable.
Suppliers & Vendor Relationship Management:
- Select and evaluate suppliers and monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and foster strong, collaborative relationships.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
System & Process improvement:
- Leverage and optimize ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle), WMS, and TMS
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance supply chain processes.
- Ensure all processes are documented based on ISO13485 or other related standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. .
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
- Proven experience in managing logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and demand planning.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts with carriers and suppliers.
- Proficiency with supply chain software (ERP, WMS, TMS) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem- solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in international logistics and trade companies would be preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies would be preferred.
- Strong project management skills with track records of delivering results will be preferred.
- Experienced in ISO-13485 working environment will be preferred.
