Logistics & Supply Chain Director
About the Role
Our client is a global leader in autonomous technology with manufacturing and operational sites across China and other markets. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a Logistics & Supply Chain Director to strengthen and integrate logistics, raw material, and finished goods management across multiple locations.
The team is currently lean, and this role will have significant ownership in building processes, improving coordination across sites, and establishing a more structured supply chain operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead logistics, warehousing, and material management across China and other operational sites based on business needs.
- Take ownership of raw material and finished goods flows, ensuring timely availability of materials and efficient product distribution.
- Develop and optimize end-to-end logistics processes covering inbound, warehousing, inventory, transportation, and outbound delivery.
- Establish a more integrated logistics and material management structure across geographically dispersed sites and teams.
- Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, operations, finance, and other functions to ensure smooth supply chain execution.
- Manage logistics partners, transportation providers, warehouses, and other external suppliers.
- Identify gaps in the current supply chain setup and implement processes, systems, and KPIs to improve cost, efficiency, inventory control, and delivery performance.
- Support the company's manufacturing operations and future expansion by building a scalable logistics and supply chain framework.
- Lead and develop the team as the function grows, with the opportunity to build the organization from a relatively lean starting point.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, material management, or related functions, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong experience managing raw materials, finished goods, warehousing, transportation, and end-to-end logistics operations.
- Experience working across multiple sites or geographically dispersed operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chains and the ability to build processes where existing structures are fragmented or underdeveloped.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience managing logistics teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational execution skills.
- Experience in automotive, robotics, autonomous vehicles, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other technology-driven industries is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work in a lean, fast-growing environment and build the function alongside the business.
