Job Summary
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day supply chain operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective distribution of goods.
This role involves coordinating shipments, managing warehouse activities, and optimizing logistics processes to meet customer and business requirements.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
Logistics Operations
- Assist with inbound/outbound supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery.
- Help manage warehouse activities and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Support in arranging transportation and shipping for goods while ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
Warehouse Management
- Assist in managing warehouse operations, ensuring goods are properly stored and inventory levels are accurate
- Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse environment.
Inventory Control
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and updating the inventory management system.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in the system.
- Update the inventory management system with real-time data on stock movements and adjustments.
Suppliers and Customer Coordination
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and customers to coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing goods.
Learning and Process/Continuous Improvement
- Participate in continuous learning and development initiatives to build logistics and supply chain management skills.
- Support the implementation of process improvement initiatives
Others
- Undertake any assigned projects / duties directed by Management (if any)
Job Requirements
- Work Location: Islandwide
- Proficiency in Basic Office Applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting when necessary.
Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- NITEC / Higher Nitec in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
