Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities and manage key customer accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Drive 50% new business development and 50% key account management within the freight forwarding and logistics sector to support revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Handle cross-trade shipments for Singapore operations, coordinating with overseas agents and network partners when required.
  • Prepare quotations, RFQs, and tender proposals, including freight rate reviews and pricing strategies.
  • Develop SOPs and operational terms & conditions, ensuring internal approvals prior to customer submission.
  • Maintain strong relationships with shipping carriers, co-loaders, and logistics partners to ensure service reliability and competitive pricing.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth and gross profit contribution.
  • Monitor and report sales pipeline, business opportunities, and KPIs to management regularly.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
  • Identify and convert new business leads into revenue-generating accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and business development progress.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in sales within freight forwarding, 3PL, distribution, or warehousing industries.
  • Proven track record in business development and/or key account management.
  • Self-driven, independent, and results-oriented with strong planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present logistics solutions effectively.
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements and ability to propose suitable logistics solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for presentations and proposals.
  • Strong negotiation and sales presentation skills.
