Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and experienced LogisticsPlanning & Management Executive to oversee and coordinate our logisticsand warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible forsupervising the logistics team, managing warehouse activities, coordinatingtransportation and implementing operational improvements to achieve efficient,accurate and cost-effective operations.
Logistics Planning & Operations
- Supervise and lead the Logistics team, providing guidance, coaching and training to delivery and logistics personnel.
- Plan and coordinate daily logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Monitor operational volume, productivity, customer service levels and logistics costs, and prepare regular performance reports.
- Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service levels, inventory turnover and operational costs.
- Manage subcontractors and transporters, including negotiating transportation rates, service levels and operational requirements.
- Maintain operational metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service records, training records and safety documentation.
- Investigate and resolve issues relating to transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports and customer service.
- Coordinate distribution center operations to achieve productivity, accuracy, cost and delivery timeline objectives.
- Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply during emergency or disruption scenarios.
Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory analysis, stock planning, replenishment and warehouse administration.
- Establish and maintain effective procedures for the accurate receiving, storage, handling, picking and dispatch of materials and finished products.
- Ensure accurate movement and storage of inventory by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and ensuring proper handling and disposition of materials.
- Monitor inventory accuracy against system records and minimize stock discrepancies through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- Conduct inventory reconciliation when required to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and manpower deployment to support incoming and outgoing shipment schedules.
- Manage warehouse costs and inventory levels by minimizing excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining required service levels.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for inventory transactions, warehouse activities and shipment movements.
- Coordinate the sourcing and set-up of new warehousing facilities and support operational planning for shipments when required.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with company procedures, safety requirements and operational standards.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or warehouse management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a logistics and warehouse team.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, analytical and solution-oriented skills.
- Proven experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and improving operational efficiency.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse management systems will be an advantage.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple operational priorities and make timely decisions in a fast-paced logistics environment.
