Job Summary
Ensure efficient execution of contract obligations and post-deal activities in oil& gas trading operations. Collaborate with counterparties and internal teams to optimize vessel utilization, maintain accurate operational records, and support system enhancements for improved trading performance.
Responsibilities
- Execute all contract and charter party obligations cost-effectively and in compliance with legal and fiscal requirements
- Communicate regularly with cargo and freight counterparties, terminals, and vessels to ensure timely transfer of operational information
- Prepare and send cargo and vessel nominations, documentary instructions, and voyage orders accurately and on schedule
- Appoint independent inspectors, expeditors, and ship agents promptly to support operational needs
- Collaborate with trading teams to identify and secure cost savings and optimize physical program execution to enhance PnL
- Enter all operational information into the VISTA trading system promptly and maintain comprehensive records for compliance
- Optimize time charter vessel utilization to maximize operational efficiency
- Conduct contract reviews, including tenders and post-deal assessments, and negotiate with counterparties as needed
- Provide accurate and timely data input into trading systems to ensure seamless information flow across the organization
- Participate in out-of-hours coverage for physical operations activities to maintain continuous support
- Assist in developing OQT requirements and contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of upgraded CTRM functionality
- Maintain and improve documented operations procedures, leveraging technology to support OQT's digitization agenda
- Ensure adherence to local laws and international shipping, maritime, and trade regulations in all operating regions
- Coordinate communication with trade support functions such as Trade Finance, Treasury, Claims, and Middle Office
Required competencies and certifications
- Fluent Arabic speaker
- Minimum of 4 years experience in oil & gas trading operations with demonstrated understanding of the MEA business culture
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, shipping documentation, and international trade practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and trade management systems
