Our Singapore team manages operations across Sough Asia, the South Pacific region and Taiwan.
We are seeking a well-organized Logistics Officer to support our regional operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain.
This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management and compliance, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Transportation Management
-Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers.
-Select and negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
-Monitor shipment schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
-Handle and resolve transportation issues and delays.
Warehousing and Inventory Management
-Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in warehouses.
-Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits.
Supply Chain Coordination
-Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
Compliance and Documentation
-Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
-Prepare and manage logistics documentation, including shipping documents, customs paperwork, Certificate Of Origin and regulatory filings.
Customer Service
-Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to logistics and delivery.
-Provide timely and accurate information to customers regarding the status of their shipments.
-Work to continuously improve customer satisfaction through efficient logistics operations.
-Other ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned
Requirements :
- Educational Requirements
.Bachelor's Degree: Often in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
.Certifications: Additional certifications (eg Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Operations Certificates) are an advantage
- Skills and Competencies
.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software and tools
.Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
.Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members, suppliers, and clients
-Experience
.Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field is preferable
.Prior import and export logistics experience is highly advantageous
.Experience in regional or international logistics operations is preferred
