Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations in Timor-Leste. The role involves managing warehousing, transportation, inventory, order fulfilment, and supplier coordination to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods across multiple channels. You will play a key role in enhancing operational reliability in a developing market environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Planning

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain activities, including planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of inbound and outbound activities.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Manage warehouse operations, covering layout planning, budgeting, production and scheduling, storage systems, packaging processes, safety compliance, and day-to-day workflow.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts, replenishment planning, and inventory tracking.

Transportation & Distribution

  • Oversee domestic and international transportation via road, sea, and air.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents for smooth shipment clearance and delivery.
  • Negotiate freight rates and improve shipment routing for cost and operational efficiency.

Procurement Support

  • Work with purchasing teams to ensure the timely availability of required materials and supplies.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery accuracy, and lead times.

Order Fulfilment & Service Quality

  • Supervise order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
  • Resolve logistics issues to maintain high service standards and delivery performance.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Track and report logistics KPIs to provide insights for operational improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

Experience

  • 3-6 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong operational knowledge in transportation, warehousing, freight, and procurement processes.
  • Experience working in developing markets is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams in fast-moving environments.
  • Able to relocate and work effectively in a multicultural setting.
